Two Progressive Chance Events arrive this week. Both give a minimum x20 Progressive Chance on the Champions you pick, and both accept Ancient, Primal, Sacred and Void Shards. Each lasts 24 hours, starting on Tuesday 27 October and Wednesday 28 October.
In each event you choose one Legendary and one Epic from the pools, and the boost applies to your chosen targets. Check the pools before you open anything.
Tuesday 27 October: Shadowkin
Legendaries on Ancient, Primal and Sacred Shards:
- Tetsuya the Deliverer
- Masahiro the Bell Monk
- Michinaki
- Arashi the Riptide
- Harima
Legendaries on Void Shards:
- Miyoko, Flower of Yakai
- Onryo Ieyasu
- Yumeko
Epics on Ancient, Primal and Sacred Shards are Gory, Hotatsu and Burangiri. On Void Shards the Epics are Genbo the Dishonored and Oboro.
The article singles out a few picks. Harima is still a strong Arena damage dealer, and Michinaki brings useful utility to Hydra Clan Boss teams. Yumeko is the pick for Void Shard holders: she can manipulate skill cooldowns and disrupt enemy teams, and her kit includes Increase Cooldowns and Reduce Cooldowns.
Wednesday 28 October: a different pool
Legendaries on Ancient, Primal and Sacred Shards:
- Acelin the Stalwart
- Vott Head-lopper
- The Tin Woodman
- Kaja the Wry
- Septimus
Legendaries on Void Shards:
- Cecilia the Red Hope
- Marichka the Unbreakable
- Taras the Fierce
The Epics on Ancient, Primal and Sacred Shards are Stag Knight, Eolfrig and Lady Quilen. On Void Shards they are Ursala the Mourner and Warcaster.
Marichka the Unbreakable and Taras the Fierce are both described as powerful Arena Champions, so they suit anyone building a PvP team. Marichka also carries a 24% SPD aura in all content and brings Revive and Increase Turn Meter. For an Epic, Stag Knight offers reliable Decrease ATK and Decrease DEF debuffs for a wide range of PvE content.
What to do
Decide which day suits your shard stock. Only one Legendary and one Epic can be targeted per event, so if both pools tempt you, work out which shard type you hold most of.
Remember what the event does. It raises the chance of getting your chosen Champion after a successful summon of that rarity. It does not raise the base chance of pulling a Legendary or an Epic. Void Shard holders should look hardest at Yumeko on Tuesday or Marichka and Taras on Wednesday, while Sacred holders have Michinaki, Harima, The Tin Woodman and Kaja the Wry to weigh up.
If neither pool has what you need, saving the shards for a future event is a reasonable choice.
