Plarium's latest RAID Digest, published on 2 October, carries several things worth knowing this week. Champion Proving Grounds is paused, a fix is coming for The Tin Woodman's endless attack loop, Nobel is due in the Token Trader, and the next Clan vs Clan Tournament comes with a catch.

Champion Proving Grounds is on pause

Champion Proving Grounds is being paused after 5 October. During the results phase the map will show Coming Soon. That is expected and does not mean anything is broken. Rewards for the current round will be paid as usual, so you do not need to do anything to collect what you have earned.

The digest does not say when the mode will return, so do not plan around it for now.

The Tin Woodman's endless loop is being fixed

The Tin Woodman, the Banner Lords magic defence legendary, has a bug that can trap him in an endless attack loop. The cause is his True Heart [P] passive, which can trigger too many counterattacks after he is hit by a multi-hit attack. A fix is due in the next release that will stop the passive producing those excess counterattacks.

If battles with him have been dragging on far longer than they should, this is why. He is still worth building if you own him. His kit includes DEF-based AoE damage, healing, Increase C.DMG, cooldown reduction and a revive on death, along with a 30% DEF aura that works everywhere. Just expect his counterattacks to trigger less often once the fix lands. Since the fix only targets excess counterattacks after multi-hit attacks, the rest of his kit should be unaffected.

Most Gemstones do not need Accuracy

This one is useful for anyone gearing with Gemstones. Most Gemstone effects do not need Accuracy to land. The one exception for now is the square Mythical Gemstone Buff Depletion, which does need ACC.

In practice:

  • If you are not using Buff Depletion, you do not need extra ACC for your Gemstone effects to work.
  • If you are using Buff Depletion, build ACC on that champion as you would for any debuffer.
  • The digest says "for now", so watch for this changing as more Gemstones are added.

Nobel comes to the Token Trader

The next Token Trader rotation features Nobel as one of its two champions. He is a Shadowkin force attacker with base speed 98 and no aura. His skills include AoE, Fear, Decrease Turn Meter, Shorten Buffs, Increase ATK, Increase Turn Meter and cooldown reduction. That mix of crowd control and buff shortening gives him uses beyond raw damage. If you have been saving tokens, he is worth weighing up before the rotation changes.

No Personal Rewards in the next CvC

The upcoming Clan vs Clan Tournament will not have Personal Rewards. Clan rewards are not mentioned as changing, but anyone who pushes CvC mainly for their own reward track should know that before spending resources on it. Players who take part to help their clan reach its milestones can carry on as normal.
