11.80: easier Hard Faction Wars, Relic CvC points, full Auto-Climb loot

Plarium has published its highlights for update 11.80, and there is more in it than the champion rebalance we have already covered. Hard Mode Faction Wars is being made easier in five crypts. Clan vs Clan Tournaments are gaining Relic objectives. Doom Tower Auto-Climb will finally show you everything it earned. The post went up on 5 October and says the update is nearly here, but it gives no release date.

Hard Mode Faction Wars gets easier in five crypts

Five crypts are being rebalanced: Banner Lords, High Elves, Ogryn Tribes, Orcs and Dark Elves. In each one, every boss and enemy champion on Stages 1 - 21 will have its HP, ATK and DEF lowered. The patch notes do not say by how much, so nobody can yet tell whether a stage you are stuck on will become comfortable or only slightly less painful.

The direction is still clear, and all three cuts help you. Lower DEF means your hits land harder. Lower ATK means your team lasts longer. Lower HP means shorter fights, which matters on stages where you were running out of time or healing. If you gave up on Hard in any of these crypts because one stage was a wall, try it again once the update is live.

Banner Lords players have a particular reason to look. The Tin Woodman and Dorothy Gale are both Banner Lords legendaries, so if you pulled either of them, that crypt may now be within reach.

One caution: do not pour resources into a team built only to beat the current numbers. Wait until the update lands and see how far your existing roster gets first.

Relics now earn Clan vs Clan points

From 11.80, Clan vs Clan Tournaments will include new Relic-related objectives. Crafting or upgrading Relics in the Forge will earn your clan Tournament Points.

If you craft or upgrade Relics anyway, it makes sense to do it while a tournament is running so the work also counts for your clan. Clan leaders may want to tell members that before the next tournament starts.

Doom Tower Auto-Climb shows the full haul

At the moment Auto-Climb shows only the 10 unique rewards from a climb. After the update it will show every reward you earned. Nothing changes about what you get, but you will be able to see exactly what a climb brought in instead of guessing from a partial list.

A Legendary Skill Tome gift and Halloween

A new gift containing a Legendary Skill Tome is coming to the RAID Web Store. The post does not give its price or say how long it will be available.

Halloween is also on the way. Champions get trick-or-treat looks, and the Bastion gets Halloween decorations. Both are cosmetic.

What to do now

• Note which of the five crypts you have left unfinished on Hard, and retry them once 11.80 is out.
• Hold off on building teams just to beat the current Hard Mode stats.
• If you have Relic crafting or upgrading planned, consider saving it for a CvC Tournament.
• Watch the Web Store for the Legendary Skill Tome gift once the update is live.
