Plarium has announced the next fusion champion: Orynyx Mindcrawler, a Legendary Dark Elves Support with Magic affinity. He arrives through a Mixed Fusion Event starting on Thursday, October 22nd, 2026.

He is designed mainly for PvP, with a kit built on enemy cooldown manipulation, buff stealing, Turn Meter control and locking enemies out of their skills.

What he does

  • Dreamfang (A1): attacks one enemy and decreases the target's Turn Meter by 10%. It places a Sleep debuff for 1 turn if the target has any active skills on cooldown put there by Orynyx.
  • Clinging Webstorm (A2): cooldown of 5 turns, reduced to 3 turns when fully booked. It attacks all enemies 2 times. The first hit has a 75% chance of stealing all buffs from all enemies, and the second has a 75% chance of placing Block Active Skills on all enemies for 2 turns. Both reach 100% when fully booked.
  • Mindcrawler (A3): cooldown of 6 turns, reduced to 4 turns when fully booked. It has a 75% chance of increasing the cooldowns of all enemy skills by 3 turns, rising to 100% when fully booked, and fills the Turn Meters of all allies by 20%.
  • Neuroskitter (Passive): his skills cannot be put on cooldown. Whenever an enemy tries to increase the cooldown of his skills or an ally's, he gets an Instant Turn. The passive has a cooldown of 4 turns, and only one copy on a team will activate.
  • Aura: increases ally SPD in all battles by 20%.

Where he should shine

Arena is the obvious home. The passive makes him a counter to champions that rely on cooldown increases, and he suits both fast teams and go-second teams. His Block Active Skills debuff can also stop Mythical champions from using their Metamorph ability.

He looks useful in PvE too. Locking out dangerous skills on multi-wave content could help in Doom Tower, Cursed City and Faction Wars. Dark Elves Faction Wars teams short on control may find him especially handy. The Eternal Dragon is another possible use, depending on that boss's immunities.

Limitations

  • His A2 and A3 need Accuracy to land against enemies with Resistance.
  • The short cooldowns need Skill Tomes.
  • The Sleep on his A1 only works on targets with cooldowns he has applied, so it is unreliable on bosses where cooldown increases do not work.
  • The Instant Turn only triggers if opponents try to increase cooldowns.
  • He brings no healing, revives or protective buffs, so the team still needs survivability and damage.

Should you go for him?

His biggest draw is how much control sits in one slot: AoE cooldown increase, AoE buff stealing, Block Active Skills and a team-wide Turn Meter boost. Newer and mid-game accounts without a lockout champion stand to gain most. Established accounts with reliable cooldown and buff control will mostly be buying the passive counter.

The fusion follows several demanding events, including the Ingenious Titan Event and recent summoning events. If Shards, Energy and other resources are tight, look over the full fusion schedule before committing. The verdict will depend on how he performs in live battles, but the announced kit gives good reasons to take this fusion seriously.
